rhBMP-2 has tremendous potential for periodontal regeneration due to its osteoinductive property. The unique properties associated with this material makes it an excellent material for periodontal regeneration in intrabony defects and for osseous regeneration in implantology. Use of rhBMP-2 coated dental implant for immediate placement in a 65-year-old male with a non-restorable maxillary right first premolar. Over a six-month follow-up period, the patient exhibited successful implant integration, minimal postoperative complications, and favorable functional and aesthetic outcomes.
